WrestlingReport.com is proud to announce its 1st Annual Patriot League Outstanding Wrestlers of the Year

PL Wrestler-of-the-Year:

(co-winners)

Michael Cannon, Sr. American University 184 lbs

and

Zachery Rey, So. Lehigh University 285 lbs

Michael Cannon, a Maryland native, finished the year with a W/L record of 30-2 winning the EIWA title and placing 3rd at the NCAA championships. Zach Rey, from Hopatcong, New Jersey, went 33-5 also winning the EIWA title and also garnering an NCAA 3rd place.

PL Rookie-of-the-Year:

Robert Hamlin, Fr. Lehigh University 174 lbs

and

Daniel Mitchell, Fr. American University 197 lbs

Robert Hamlin, a redshirt freshman, became the first Lehigh starter from the state of Vermont finishing with an 18-12 W/L record and placing 4th at the EIWA championships earning an automatic bid tho the NCAAs.

Daniel Mitchell, a true freshman from Colorado, also placed 4th at the EIWAs and received an automatic bid to the NCAAs.
