NOTE: Results from the Cliff Keen Las Vegas
Invitational were ruled not to impact seeding at the
NCAA Championships by a ruling from the NCAA
Wrestling Committee on January 23. As a result, some
teams have removed those matches from their season
record forms, while other teams haven’t. Those
matches still COUNT for record purposes, but cannot
be referenced for the upcoming seeding process. This
is why you will see some records vastly different
from the last set of rankings.
The lack of consistency across all institutions that
competed in Las Vegas have skewed the records data.
So if you were wondering why some records were off,
and some on … this is why.
Also, the following poll is not a continuation of
the final dual meet poll. This is the only coaches
poll during the season that is for Tournament
Strength heading. Your teams did not “drop” in the
rankings.
