Pennsylvania High School Wrestler of the Year for the 2009 Season

At the conclusion of each wrestling season, WrestlingReport.com selects its Ronald L Garrison Pennsylvania High School Wrestler of the Year. This annual recognition will go to the top senior high school wrestler in the state of Pennsylvania.

WrestlingReport, under the direction of Bruce Closson, announced  on March 15 at the Dapper Dan Wrestling Classic this years selection for Pennsylvania High School Wrestler of the Year going to Penn Trafford's Shane Young  and Shady Side Academy's Dane Johnson.

Coached by Larry Hohman, Young  had an outstanding high school career, compiling a record of  153-19   en route to 3  District 7 championships  and 3 PIAA championships. Young will be attending West Virginia University.

Coached by Tim Giel, Johnson had an amazing high school career, compiling a record of  182-11 en route to 4  District 7 championships  and 3 PIAA championships. Johnson will be attending the University of Pittsburgh.

Congratulations to Penn Trafford's Shane Young  and Shady Side Academy's Dane Johnson, the Ronald L Garrison Pennsylvania High School Wrestler of the Year for 2009.
